Google Meet has a Closed Caption feature built into the system that you can toggle directly from the main board. Transcribing Voice in Google Docs

How can I transcribe my voice? Google Docs offers a number of accessibility features. If you click the “tools” drop-down menu, scroll to “Voice Typing,” and this will allow you to create a document with your voice. Helpful link. Use your sitechhs.com email to sign into YouTube. From there you can upload videos to your own channel and share them with your class. YouTube is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will allow them to enable Closed Captioning without you having to narrate it yourself manually. You can also make your videos private if you do not want anyone outside of Tech to view them.

How can my students upload photos to Google Classroom? To allow the ability to upload photos, you must create an “Assignment” under Classwork. Students will then have to either a) Respond on a computer where they can upload the photo directly, OR b) First input the photo as a Google doc and upload the doc to you, OR c) Upload the photo as a public link somewhere (like Imgur) and post the link ← Option C is NOT recommended. Zoom Privacy Questions Please note that the New York City Department of Education currently does NOT approve of the use of Zoom with students . With issues being raised about the security and privacy practices of zoom, here are a few things you can do immediately to protect your sessions. Further guidance should be provided by the DOE and SITHS as new information becomes available. Make your meetings password protected. Use the waiting room option to gain control of who enters your session. Use virtual backgrounds.
