Please note that the New York City Department of Education currently does NOT approve of the use of Zoom with students.
With issues being raised about the security and privacy practices of zoom, here are a few things you can do immediately to protect your sessions. Further guidance should be provided by the DOE and SITHS as new information becomes available.
Make your meetings password protected.
Use the waiting room option to gain control of who enters your session.
Use virtual backgrounds.
