    • If a student is using an IOS device (Ipad, Iphone, etc.), captions can be turned on for video supported apps. More info and instructions here.

Zoom and the New York City Department of Education recently came to a contract and in order to use Zoom, NYC DOE employees will now need to login with their NYC DOE credentials. Video Tutorial:   https://youtu.be/212aRS6VEgw 1. Log out of your current Zoom account. 2. Open up the program and click "SSO" to login. 3. Type "nycdoe" before the zoom.us in the space provided. 4. Use your current NYC DOE credentials to login.  Be sure to remove the /CENTRAL and DO NOT include the @schools.nyc.doe --> so JUST your username and password. I was 100% the college student who rolled my eyes any time a professor mentioned writing a reflection piece. In fact, there were even points where I was offended by the task: Oh, right, because we're English majors, we have to live in the hippie-dippie world of reflection; that's why everyone makes fun of us. Fast forward to my first and second master's degrees in Education and Educational Leadership: This is why no one respects teachers - because we're too busy "reflecting on our feelings." I am here to tell you, I was wrong. Not only was I deeply wrong, but I was also childish and arrogant.
